This research explores the relationship between participation in extracurricular artistic activities and creativity levels, using a test that measures divergent thinking (Divergent Association Task). Likewise, the relationship between creativity levels and academic performance is studied. The research collected data from 42 university students from different majors. The results showed that
students who had participated in one of the artistic activities established in the research obtained better results in the aforementioned test. It was also found that when higher averages were presented, higher results were also presented in the creativity test. No significant relationship was found between the time that students spent in extracurricular activities and creativity levels.
