Culture may be interpreted as a historical and symbolic reality. One can approach its meaning production through its codes, symbols and cultural organization. These elements represent its identity, it is in this sense that one can say this group of codes evokes a specific semiosphere. Drawing from Lotman´s semiotic theory (1996), this research aims to analyze as an object of study the Preparatoria Politécnica Santa Catarina, Unidad La Fama, (PPSC), as a specific semiosphere.
