The topic of a romantic breakup has a social and clinical relevance due to the fact that most people have gone through this kind of loss at a certain point in their lives. This process is often accompanied by important psychological consequences to a person. The present investigation, A story of lovelessness. Case study, aims to explore the process of a romantic breakup from the case construction provided by a female subject of 24 years of age. This construction is derived from conducting semi-structured interviews. It is included in the results a process of ambivalence that becomes present in the mourning after a breakup, a process that was not initially contemplated.
