“Senninbari: Evoking the Mexican Perspective of the Current Pandemic through Japanese Literature and Machine Learning

Abstract

Senninbari is an algorithmic video projection that constitutes a landscape formed by the identity of the word doctor using it as an amulet. It seeks to repel an intangible negative through presentation in physical space. This text is a case study of the Senninbari amulet landscape in relation to its use of Japanese literature and machine learning as identity elements in representing the pandemic from the perspective of the territory of Morelos.
