Regeneration and entrepreneurial resilience: an empirical study to identify ten key climate action initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean

This empirical study investigates the intersection of entrepreneurial resilience and regeneration in the context of climate action initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Recognising the region’s historical challenges of high inequality, vulnerability and turbulent business environments, this research focuses on how LAC can foster a regenerative and resilient entrepreneurial landscape amidst climate change. The study, which was a result of 28 focus groups with 269 participants across business, academia, civil society and government sectors from seven LAC countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico and Peru), has identified 10 strategies for climate action-based regeneration and highlights 26 barriers to entrepreneurial resilience. These insights offer new directions for sustainable development and entrepreneurship in LAC, emphasising overcoming environmental challenges.
