Abstract

The text reflects on the relationship between human communication and artificial intelligence. It begins from the idea that communication has traditionally been understood as a specifically human condition, grounded in reciprocity, intentionality, and coexistence. However, the development of AI introduces new forms of human?machine interaction that challenge these assumptions. These interactions are fundamentally asymmetrical, since machines lack consciousness, intentionality, and moral criteria. Although AI can process information and respond to stimuli, its functioning is reactive and conditioned by algorithms and human-generated data. The text concludes that interaction with AI is functional and technically useful, but it is not ontologically equivalent to genuine interpersonal communication.
