Abstract
We report the deployment, commissioning, and first results of a MiniTrasgo detector at the University of Monterrey (UDEM), Mexico. MiniTrasgo detectors are compact RPC-based tracking systems designed to measure cosmic rays with angular and temporal resolution, providing a cost-effective platform for distributed cosmic ray studies. The UDEM detector has been operational since February 2025. We present the detector setup, calibration pipeline, event reconstruction, and first measurements using two months of data. Atmospheric corrections were applied, enabling the identification of a Forbush Decrease event in early June 2025. We also outline ongoing studies with shielding, simulations, and long-term stability monitoring. This work represents the deployment of a miniTrasgo detector in Mexico and contributes to the expansion of the Trasgos network.
