Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct interdisciplinary ethnographic research -psychology and architecture-respecting the characteristics of diversity and territoriality of Santa Catarina Lachatao, a Mexican indigenous community in Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, and coming up with a new methodological approach. We work the graphic interpretation from a biographical-narrative perspective that allows access to the identity, meanings, and practical knowledge of the Serranos. In a total of 28 drawings of 17 boys and girls are also shown the interactions, elements and common bonds shared from their culture, ideology, and values that the Lachatao's elders have managed to transmit to the little ones.
