Architecture in Mexico is going through a process of technological transition, motivated by the need for digitalization and updating of project management, and the management of project information, through the application of digital technologies; this process has been promoted by various public and private sectors that have promoted the publication of relevant documents on the subject. That is why the present work focuses on analyzing the application of the Official Mexican Norm NMX-C-527-1-ONNCCE-2017, construction industry-modeling of construction information, in Mexico; the miso was developed with quantitative methodology, of an analytical type, with non-experimental design, and that consulted various architects on the use and knowledge of the standard and its most relevant aspects. Among the results, the importance of the use of digital technology for the documentation and production of project deliverables stands out; and secondly, the relevance of digitalization as a means or support for the management and modeling of project information. The most outstanding thing is the lack of knowledge of the respondents about the official norm referred to, which makes it pertinent not only the technological update, but the discussion of the impact of digitalization on decision-making, during the design process and representation of the architectural project. Understanding the convergent nature of digital technology, which requires investment and constant training by the design and construction team.
