Improving On-Time Delivery Through Better Production and Inventory Planning and Control

This paper presents a description of the design and implementation of an improved planning and control raw material inventory system for a Mexican company located in Monterrey. The suggested system includes the integration of a new forecasting system and an improved updated inventory control scheme. The validation and implementation phases of the project are described. Finally, current performance results are illustrated.
