Abstract

The present work describes a study performed to evaluate the logic implemented to control the forced circulation process inside of two 5 3 storage tanks used on a solar water heating system installed in the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) in Mexico. A simulation model on TRNSYS was successfully developed and validated with measured field data for this purpose. The long-term performance simulation of the plant and optimizations to the control logic of the system are also discussed.
