Entrepreneurship of women and virtual environments in Ecuador

The article analyzes the performance of women entrepreneurs in Ecuador, their motivations, needs and the main obstacles in the development of their activities. Through qualitative research, with a theoretical contextualization and in-depth interview with successful women entrepreneurs and directors of entities that support this sector. Knowledge, commitment, innovation and empathy were identified as factors of success and obstacles are more acceptable in the environment than sources of financing.
