The Venezuelan political process from the magisterium of the episcopate in Venezuela (years 2014 -2017)

The precipitous Venezuelan political process in recent years has revealed different phases of a conflict with political roots that have an effect on the social, economic and humanitarian spheres, this is how the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference, which is the collegiate body that brings together the bishops of the country, annually issues messages that point out and identify the problems and characteristics present in the historical development of the country's political process, thus responding to the pastoral vocation of the apostolic ministry that indicates that bishops must be defenders and parents of the poor, worrying about justice and human rights, and thus be a bearer of hope (Pastore Gregis 2003), hence the present documentary research seeks to describe the political process in Venezuela from the pastoral exhortations published by the episcopate in the country, according to the theoretical foundation of Hurtado (2000) and the political conception of Zamudio (2005) and Comp end of the Social Doctrine of the Church (2006), identifying the common problems pointed out by the bishops, in terms of humanitarian crisis, food, health sector, security, violence rates, as well as the functioning of state institutions as part of fundamental of representative and protagonist democracy. Also the responsibility and functions of the public powers in the constitutional framework and the policies assumed to ensure the climate of coexistence, finally the identification of the main cause of the Venezuelan crisis according to the vision prophetic of the episcopate in Venezuela.
