Design as a factor to reduce social vulnerability

he design is a dynamic discipline that seeks to meet the user needs to improve its quality of life. The designer must know the social problems that afflict society and the reasons why they are generated. Due to its characteristics, design discipline has the ability to meet the needs that affect human beings in the short and long term. This article illustrates the factors that cause a state of social vulnerability, the situation prevailing in Mexico, and the potential of design and the designer’s role as a factor in reducing the problems of society.
