Abstract

There are many studies focused on analyzing, the level of disinformation generated by social networks, whether there is a deeper discussion on public issues that, in general terms, impacts the participation in contemporary societies. In order to add value to this ongoing debate, it was proposed to carry out a qualitative study on the perceptions of this phenomenon by key actors who have observed this transition from the classroom: university professors. To do this, interviews are conducted with teachers from two emblematic Ibero-American nations: Mexico and Spain. Both countries have different systems but have been at the forefront of digital interaction by digital media. The results found that, despite the differences between the two countries, the perceptions of the Mexican and Spanish teachers have more coincidences than differences.
