The Permanent Seminar on Political Science, launched in 2021, was established as a platform for critical reflection and dialogue on contemporary issues in Political Science. It has served as a meeting point for academia, the public sector, organized civil society, and the general public, while also providing opportunities for students to actively participate as panelists on multiple occasions.
Discussions in the seminar have explored the sociopolitical reconfigurations of Indigenous peoples, participatory budgeting and open government experiences, and pressing legislative reforms in Nuevo León, particularly in the areas of energy policy and constitutional amendments. Additionally, the seminar has addressed urgent challenges in the state, such as the water crisis and enforced disappearances.
As these seminars are open to the public, they contribute significantly to democratizing knowledge and fostering informed public debate.
