Organización del I Premio Nacional de Políticas Públicas UDEM - COLMEX

The First National Public Policy Award was created to foster the analysis and deeper understanding of public issues, as well as the development of policy proposals aimed at improving living conditions in Mexico. The award featured two categories: academic papers and public policy proposals. It was open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as members of the academic and research communities across the country.

In its first edition, 70 submissions were received across both categories. A total of 250,000 pesos in prizes was awarded to the top three winners in each category, reinforcing the award’s commitment to recognizing and encouraging outstanding contributions.

One of the key strengths of this initiative has been the strengthening of collaboration and institutional ties with El Colegio de México, which co-organized the award alongside UDEM, as well as with the academic institutions affiliated with the members of the judging panels.

Most awards were granted to students, demonstrating the initiative’s direct impact on the training of future researchers. Furthermore, the publication of a collective volume as part of the award will contribute to universal access to knowledge.
