Tecnologías inmersivas como herramienta para el diseño arquitectónico: revisión de literatura

Resumen

Las tecnologías inmersivas son una propuesta digital que ofrece a los usuarios experimentar el espacio desde la virtualidad, con características sensibles como pueden ser el color, el sonido, la luz, la forma o la función, de allí, su uso práctico y sostenido en la arquitectura. El presente trabajo buscó profundizar en el conocimiento de la aplicación de las tecnologías inmersivas en el ejercicio del diseño arquitectónico realizando una revisión sistematizada de la literatura en trabajos de fechas recientes. Los resultados demuestran que el aumento progresivo de la producción científica y las citaciones convierten la virtualidad en tema prioritario para el estudio, pues está influyendo en diversos ámbitos del proceso creativo. Además, las realidades virtuales, aumentadas y mixtas son utilizadas para validar criterios de diseño, en relación con el usuario y sus necesidades, en diversas escalas de trabajo desde lo urbano, pasando a lo paisajístico, lo arquitectónico, el espacio interior y los elementos constructivos como techos, ventanas, y fachadas. Otros temas abordados desde la virtualización del objeto arquitectónico son la eficiencia energética, la luminosidad y el confort térmico, la acústica y la gestión del proyecto. Al centro de la experiencia, se encuentra la interacción de la persona en el entorno virtual con el modelo digital como medio para conocer y entender el diseño arquitectónico.
