Resumen
In recent years, the graphic arts division focused only on the traditional offset printing system, has been behaving in an unusual way since its birth almost a century ago. There is a noticeable reduction in the demand for printed material through this reproduction system. An event that not only impacts this community but also directly affects the practice of the graphic designer dedicated to print media.
The reasons could be limited that were not thought that could happen as the birth of other more advanced printing techniques such as digital offset and nanographic system, the accelerated acceptance of new trends such as the use of interactive and digital devices for publishing such as iPad tablets and other specialized devices such as the Kindle or Nook, the improvement of pre-existing printing processes such as flexography, which increase their competitive advantage over traditional day-to-day offset and other factors related to sustainability that have been laying the foundations for a new era in both print and electronic media.
