Abstract

Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881 - 1958) states that poetry is the only path to social and political justice. Based on this proposal, this paper analyzes Paradiso (1966) by José Lezama Lima and Roma (2018) by Alfonso Cuarón, taking into consideration that both authors present a poetic translation of their life in images that show the progress of society through poetic sensitivity.
