Abstract
This article tries to investigate if the internal political developments in Mexico lead to changes in its foreign policy toward Middle Eastern countries and also if it is possible to identify good practices in order to maintain and to improve those relations. According to our perspective Mexican foreign policy was quite active in the past but this had to do more with personal objectives than with a long term strategy. Since the new period in Mexican politics a general objective of openness was framed but the author argues that Middle East was not considered as a priority and besides that there is a lack of connection between multilateral foreign policy and the foreign policy towards that region.
