Abstract
The present research aims to identify, by means of empirical evidence, whether human capital, through factors such as organizational commitment, organizational culture, knowledge management, emotional intelligence as a soft skill, and analytical ability as a hard skill in Industry 4.0, has an impact on the organizational competitiveness of administrative employees (knowledge workers according to Valhondo, 2002) in Tier 1 auto parts companies in northeastern Mexico. This study was conducted from a quantitative-deductive perspective, starting from the background of the problem to be investigated, posing the research question and objective, continuing with the identification of the theoretical framework, the methodological strategy, and the analysis of the results, to conclude with the findings and resulting recommendations. As a result, four of the five proposed hypotheses were confirmed through multiple linear regression, which were supported by theoretical and empirical evidence. Therefore, this research contributes new opportunities for future studies that can increase the understanding of the link between the mentioned human capital factors and organizational competitiveness.
