Abstract
Augmented reality is a technology that allows interaction with virtual or digital objects, without the abstraction of the physical presence of the operator, which is related through electronic devices with gesturally or vocally controlled holograms; This capacity for interaction makes it ideal for the practice of formal and functional design of objects at any scale. This work focused on designing the instructional model to incorporate augmented reality in interdisciplinary collaborative exercises, according to the ADDIE model. Taking into account the basic principles of planning, action, and reflection. The research was evaluative in nature, with contemporary design, and included the participation of a sample of students from the schools of Architecture and Habitat Sciences and Art and Design, at the University of Monterrey, in Mexico. The work consisted of the design and instructional application of two augmented reality sessions, in the Experimental Study course, for the formal creation of a three-dimensional object, in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner, using the Rhinoceros software with the Fologram plugins. The information was collected through an open self-directed questionnaire, and then through matrices, classifying and categorizing the necessary topics for analysis, reflection, and evaluation. The results show that the use of technologies such as augmented reality motivates the involvement of students in the learning process, due to its innovative nature, in addition to allowing them to organize their participation and performance in the design phases. Therefore, the instructional plan, according to the ADDIE Model, made it possible to align the exercise carried out with an interdisciplinary approach, to the learning and design competencies of the course, as well as to outline strategies to reflect on its inclusion to promote creativity and work in team between disciplines.
