Abstract
The use of mobile devices has been increasing in recent years. Some studies focus on mobile device use in adolescents and adults and its repercussions, especially in behavioral addiction, psychological and cognitive discomfort; however, there are few tools for studying this behavior among the population under six years of age, mainly in Mexico. This study aimed to design and validate the use of mobile devices questionnaire in children between 1 and 8 years of age. 240 parents from various Mexican cities participated and answered about situations and consequences of using devices, impulse control, and risk perception. The validity analysis inter-judges show an IVC higher than 0.80, and the reliability index was 0.931. The implications of this tool for the evaluation of the use of mobile devices behavior in this population and future studies on the effects in the short and medium term.
