Abstract
IMPLEMENTED ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
location: Forlì
design: 2003
completed: 2005
land area: 425 sqm
floor area: 250 sqm
design: Roberto Pasini, Andrea Ranieri
The redesign of Townhouse D was the first implementation of the urban acupuncture on the Villaggio Matteotti. Confronting the suburban house type implies to elaborate a critical statement on the overlapping actions of two major agencies spinning social dynamics and material production of space: regressive resilience of ‘bourgeois’ and progressive tension towards modernity. A spatial sequence across the interiors gradually converts the sober convex parti on the front into a loose concave rear embodying the endless dialectic bourgeois / anti-bourgeois.
