Abstract

The city is not lived in an architectural way, but in a social way, and it is created from individuals who cohabit it and, in addition, live them. This way should be taken into account from different non-specialized perspectives on the subject to avoid biasing it.
This work is of a qualitative type and hermeneutic phenomenological cut; The main objective is to detect socio-urban problems of a public nature in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey in order to know the perception of the urban being in relation to its quality of urban life. It is necessary to question how the population lives in the city, and in the same way, to propose a way in which the perspectives of the people who live in the city can be effectively analyzed. Thus, models are sought that stimulate an improvement in urban life and, thereby, reduce the significant and diverse socio-urban inequalities. Therefore qualitative analyzes of urban quality of life, public space, and urban morphology are so relevant. Systematizing and rationalizing the analysis of the experiences of the population is necessary to achieve a perspective on these issues that can be used when analyzing what the city needs
