Personal profile

I am an Associate Professor of Economics at UDEM Business School (AACSB-AMBA), University of Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico and member of the National System of Researchers level 2 (SNI-2 Conacyt, Mexico). I have hold Visiting Professor positions in Spain, Hungary and Peru.

I am interested in open economy macroeconomics. My recent research focuses on the role that exports and imports composition plays on economic performance.

I hold a PhD in Applied Economics (Economic Integration) from the University of the Basque Country (Spain).
